ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
This immersive workshop is an invitation for collective co-creation of a new vision, and transmuting the current veteran narrative. Harnessing the transformative power of creative expression, including prayer flag making, yoga and movement, a veteran artist panel, and a shared prayer for peace. We'll tap into the healing power of visionary community while addressing a common issue veterans face- “Moral Injury.”
We are Visionary Veterans - a women-led, GWOT- East Coast-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to co-create inspiring spaces where veterans can rejuvenate and revive their spirits, reconnect, and step into their roles as visionary and community leaders. Through shared experiences in art, nature and alternative therapies, we foster a sense of renewal, and a commitment to giving back to the veteran community, while creating a sense of belonging and connecting veterans on a spiritual path.
Focusing on post traumatic growth, this workshop will offer tips and techniques to relax the nervous system. We will offer a movement, stretching and meditation session, followed by a prayer flag painting demo on a 10”x10” flag using fabric paints and batik like options. Veronika will walk with each person, step by step by first setting intention and infusing that energy into the flag.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Connection and intention setting and sharing ideas with a visionary group of peers.
You will learn movement and gentle relaxation techniques to help calm the nervous system.
Guided Prayer flag workshop for (1) 10”x10” Prayer flag for peace (Additional flags available for purchase) Participants will
